Traumatic Brain Injury & Spinal Cord Injury Surveillance

The TBI/SCI Surveillance Project seeks to identify all TBI and SCI that occur in Kentucky each year. Data from hospitals, trauma centers, and death certificates are linked to form a single data set. The resulting final data set is analyzed to assess the causes, outcomes, and risk factors associated with TBI and SCI. This project is funded by the TBI Trust Fund Board in association with the Kentucky Department for Aging and Independent Living.
